Avi Kochar

Managing Director / Principal Study Manager

Avi

Avi has over 25 years’ experience within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry. Until recently he was head of consultancy at Wood Group London and subsequently Wood Plc, responsible for delivering conceptual studies primarily in the EAME region but also in Asia and the Americas up to and including Pre-FEED. Prior to this he was VP for Wood Group Frontier where he grew a highly successful concept group and also previously head of conceptual engineering at an upstream/ mid-stream Independent London based consultancy.

During the earlier part of his career he held various Operations roles with Operating companies along with site based projects including engineering, project construction, completions, commissioning and decommissioning. A Chemical Engineer by background he has led projects and conceptual studies within the upstream, midstream, clean energy and downstream sectors for Feasibility, Appraise, Select and Pre-FEED phases. His experience includes various technical and commercial Due Diligence studies for banks, insurers and E & P companies.

In addition he has carried out work for Loss Adjusters for Detailed damages Assessments. He brings expertise in study and project delivery having led teams of various sizes on conceptual studies as well as Senior Project management responsibilities for projects up to FEED with teams up to 100 persons. This knowledge of team dynamics and delivery of projects coupled with strong organisational and people management skills means he understands how to execute successful fit for purpose projects.

He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow if the Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Adam cox

Process Consultant / Study Manager

Adam has over 15 years’ experience in engineering design of onshore/offshore oil & gas facilities. He has a strong technical background in process engineering (Chartered Chemical Engineer) and a proven track record of project delivery as Study, Project or Engineering Manager at each phase of the project life cycle (study, FEED, and EPCM).

Adam has experience in unconventionals (coal-seam gas and shale), LNG, oil & gas processing, refining, pipelines, and petrochemicals in both Greenfield and Brownfield arenas. He has worked extensively on projects in the Caspian, Middle East, Africa, and Europe with a breadth of knowledge on guidelines/standards and norms for each region.

His experience includes managing multi-discipline engineering/design teams with responsibility for approval of all technical deliverables and serving as a focal point for client-facing project delivery. He has also been responsible for ad-hoc technical troubleshooting for client design/operations teams, “cold eyes” audit / peer reviews of technical documents, and due diligence for external engineering designs / assets. Along with his highly developed technical skill-set, he has outstanding commercial awareness to help focus project execution and achieve the best result for clients.

Mark Hitchins

Structural Engineering and Cost Estimating Specialist

Mark an Italian, Spanish and French speaker, has over 40 years’ experience within the global offshore and onshore Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry.

As a qualified and highly experienced Structural Engineer he has gained conceptual and design experience in the analysis and design of gravity base structures, fixed / floating installations, well pads, oil terminals and flood barriers. Subsea experience has also been gained in the analysis, design and detailing of subsea structures, pipelines, templates and riser towers primarily in deep water. His site experience has been gained as Surveyor, Resident Engineer and Construction Manager during the construction of permanent and temporary works for both offshore and onshore projects.

Mark has gained project management experience covering the various phases of project development from conceptual through to installation and finally to removal and abandonment / decommissioning.

Mark is an outstanding cost estimator, previously as Wood PLC’s Lead Cost Estimator within the London upstream and mid-stream business, developed their cost “norms” and “systems” delivering CAPEX, OPEX and ABEX estimates to meet the particularly important targets set by clients.
